Please have a carrier ready to bring on pick up as I do not supply carriers. Carriers are mandatory for vet appointments, and transportation.

I do NOT have restrictions on my animals. Once you adopt rats from us, they are your responsibility, and I do not agree with putting rules and restrictions on my clients.

 

Rats will only be sold in same sex pairs if it is your first time adopting from us (unless to an approved breeder) or special circumstances (needing a cage buddy to an existing solo rat in your care).  

All new animals should be quarantined from other pre-existing pets following their release from our care. 

 

It is the adopter’s responsibility to provide ALL of the animal(s) needs once it leaves our care.  This includes, but is not limited to; suitable safe, clean housing, appropriate food to meet it's nutritional needs, fresh water, appropriate bedding & all medical care. 

I operate as a closed breeding facility for the safety of my family and my animals. Pick ups take place at the door only, please understand. Photos or videos of how I house my animals can be found on my social media or by request if you have any concerns.

Animal adoption pick-ups are by appointment only, from our private place of residence. No delivery is offered at this time.

I do not offer litter reservations as I breed for my own personal goals and I like to take my time when releasing. I do not feel all my litters must leave at 6 weeks, some I feel I want to grow longer, I also like to get to know personalities for my own holdbacks.

 

Our adoption prices are based on what has been invested monetarily, as well as time and effort. Prices are non-negotiable.

A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to hold any animals. A deposit is only refunded if I need to back out of the sale, for any reason. Adoption fees must be paid in full at pick-up in cash, or prior to pick-up by E-Transfer.. The adoption price of the animal(s) will be decided prior to deposit reservation. Deposits are accepted by E-Transfer.  

Once your reserved animal is available for pick-up, it must be picked up within 1 week  or you will forfeit your non-refundable deposit and your animal(s) will be relisted for adoption whenever possible. It is the responsibility of the adopter to make transportation arrangements. 

We do not take in rescues or surrenders for the safety of my own animals, however if you adopted a rat from us and wish to surrender it back to us, as long as the rat is not ILL or showing signs of any illness, please contact us to discuss the options. If the rat is ILL please seek veterinary care

We have the right to refuse the adoption of an animal (or animals) at our discretion. We are not obliged to give a reason for a refusal.

By adopting an animal(s) from Ravishing Rats you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the adoption policy stated above. ​

Should an animal you adopted from us fall ill, suddenly pass away or is aggressive, I will offer you another rat of the same value you paid if you choose, however there is no refund. I can accept the return of an aggressive rat or an animal that won't adapt to an existing animal in your care (please research proper introductions), or if euthanizing is necessary and you are unable to fund this at the vet, please return the animal to me so I can have the animal euthanized humanly,
